Hookah Lounge @ Miami Beach

It was our first time trying Hookah. Fun! But I wasn't so used to the feeling when the smoke came through my throat out of my mouth. Made me cough a lot!

I saw a lot of people share one. It seems to be a nice way to have fun with a group of friends!

Florida... where Summer never ends

This was the view from where we stayed when we were on our way to Key West. The island is called Key Marathon. Although it wasn't as entertaining as Key West with fascinating night life, it was a great place to enjoy the peaceful beach and unforgettable heavenly beautiful sunrise/sunset.

New Orleans - Preservation Hall

To be honest, I've never been a big fan of Jazz for no reason although I always enjoy spending time with friends in any kind of Jazz bar. But when it comes to the music itself, I personally have no opinions or ideas about Jazz. However, the Jazz in New Orleans is just far beyond amazing. People are very easily to be dragging into the music and simply forget where they are even though it is absolutely crowded and people are hardly moving around but stand tight.

Preservation Hall is a very small and old place, but it produces the most beautiful Jazz music I have ever heard. Every instrument plays an unique and important role; Every musician in the team can be a tremendous one by himself or herself but they choose to play as a team. No one outshines each other but makes each other brighter than ever!

When you see a small place like this full of people from around the world enjoying the fascinating music at the same, no words are exactly needed to be using to express the beauty of the moment.

New Orleans - Bourbon Street

A street never sleeps at night. People, foods, music and fun are everywhere on the street. It's never gonna happen to say you miss any of them while you are on the street.

Have you noticed? The girls' tops were painted!

During the day,
there are tons of decent restaurants offering delicious Cajun/Creole cuisine over there...

During the night, there are pubs, Jazz bar and strip clubs side by side. You can't even think about counting how many of them are down the street. Every one is the same with tons of fun if you happen to be inside; Each one is completely different by all means of the foods, music and dances they offer.

New Orleans - Beignet & Café au lait @ Café Du Monde

Believe it or not! This French doughnut is one of the most famous food in the City of New Orleans. You can't say you've visited New Orleans without stopping by having a cup of Café au lait and some Beignets(French doughnut). Although it does look and taste like 雙胞胎(Horse Hooves) in Taiwan, everything is completely different with unique atmosphere while you are having them.

Mount Vernon

George Washington's pretty home.

No wonder he couldn't wait to go home after his presidency of the United States of American.

A sarcasm about young Washington chopped down a cherry tree accidentally and confessed to his father with dignity, which never actually happened. How come a little boy who could only handle a small axe was able to cut down a "tree" "accidentally"?!

Georgetown University

An extremely beautiful school in every way... in the most gorgeous and impressive neighborhood in the capital city of the United States...

A nicely done British garden...

A tranquil library surrounding by trees...

Las Vegas Fantasy I - Endless Night

This was the most amazing show I had ever seen. Beautiful songs, funny jokes and pretty girls dancing awesomely. The interesting part was... we actually got the show tickets for free because of a tour which you can find it everywhere around the city. They were sort of real estate dealers and invited people to visit their property. And the tickets are like gifts which are very nice ones.

The gorgeous dancers...

And the stunning singer...

It's almost heaven for men!!

A happy moment...

For me, the most impressive part of a western-style wedding is that the bride was more vivid than just a doll. The bride smiled all the time, laughed out loud, danced and chatted with everyone. The groom and the bride were able to be more closer to the relatives and friends who were inviting to celebrate with them, which made them more involved but not just bystanders.

The wedding cake was like the happiness they were gonna have, and they shared it with all the guests. This just made everyone more bonded to each other.

Not many people was invited, but everyone invited was able to hug the bride and the groom. Nothing was ever comparable!!

By the way, people say it's not considerable if you wear white to a wedding, but black is fine. The only strategy is: never wear the same color as the bride!! She is absolutely the only star on her Big Day!!

Welcome to Lobster lover's paradise - Boston

How often in your life time you can see so many lobsters at a time?
Oh...wait... You don't even need to deal with the shells yourself. It's heaven, isn't it?

Milwaukee Art Museum @ Milwaukee, WI

An incredibly amazing building beside Lake Michigan...

Inside of the building is even more realistically beautiful...

The beautiful place is only around two hour driving distance away from Chicago. It's definitely worth to visit over the weekend. :)

The birth place of the United States of America - Philadelphia

Speaking of Philadelphia, there is a story you can never forget. The story is about the birth of the United States of America. We were born equally with the rights to education and the rights of election, so it's probably not easy for us to imagine how precious it could be to live in a nation with republic and democracy. I admit I had been one of those who don't aware the meaning of it till I was right in front of the building, the Independence Hall, which was the exact place The Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were signed at. These two important documents led the United States and the world to a totally different direction.

Independence Hall

For me, the most impressive story about the independence and the development of democracy of the United States is the one about George Washington, the first president of the new born nation in 18th century, which is about how George Washington just simply left his position and couldn't wait to go home after 8 years of his presidency. It might be with no doubt for the presidents nowadays, but I believe the situation was completely different at that time since people had not been educated how and what democracy could be and the systems and the laws were not complete yet. In that case, George Washington could probably try to be president as long as he wanted, but he didn't. He just left and didn't interfere the operation of the new government or try to influence his followers in a bad way.

Assembly Room where The Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were signed.

Leesburg @ Northern Virginia

Leesburg, a neighbor town of Ashburn, is a beautiful and tranquil small town northwest of Washington DC. For people living in Ashburn but not from Ashburn and missing the feeling of walking on the street, Leesburg historic district is definitely a must-go.

We happened to go there on thanksgiving day before dinner. The streets were already decorated with lights. Few people were walking on the street sine it was almost dinner time. The small town was just full of lovely and quiet atmosphere.

Although it was thanksgiving day, still many of the restaurants there were open. They offered decent thanksgiving dinner for people who prefer dining out or someone like us living here without family nearby. The interior of the restaurants elegant and cozy, so that people couldn't help standing in front of the window to stare at it as long as they could. I was completely fascinated. Suddenly, a thanksgiving without family was not that terrible. :)

Northwestern University @ Evanston, IL

It was a very beautiful beginning of our journey in the states to have Northwestern University as our first stop. Since I'm a cold weather lover, I was absolutely in love with Evanston surrounded by the purely cold air, which you can simply feel and smell it.

As every university has its own representative color, NU's color is purple. They have purple Taddy bears, purple shirts and purple banners for every event. It's hard to ignore it while you're living aside all the purple things. Sometimes you may get tired of it, but during the spring time there's a tiny hyacinth garden which impressed me a lot. What an elegant design of nature!! Isn't it?

Northwestern University is located in the Northern Chicagoland. Only Law school and Medical school are in the city of Chicago. The rest departments are in Evanston, a beautiful small city sharing the border with Chicago on the north. The lake is more than beautiful when you try to find a word to explain it. However, Along side of Lake Michigan, people should live with both the good and bad sides of the lake. You can read a book, ride a bicycle, take a nap and picnic by the lake. Nothing can be more relaxing when you do those things with clean air, purely blue sky, as well as gentle breeze. The bad side is always the unpredictable weather along with the great lake, which Chicagoland is always notorious for.

Cherry Blossom - Part II

I didn't know the fact that the cherry blossoms turn pink after they bloom.
Compare with the blossoms a week ago: Cherry Blossom @ Washington DC

After the peak blossom... they fell like snow.
